The argument rages on year after year... Has Simon Cowell ruined the Christmas number 1?

Well yes he has. That is my opinion and everyone elses... Except Simon Cowell, who cashes in on his exploitation every December.

Does it matter however? When was the last time a really good Christmas song was released? Coldplay had a crack last year with a pretty decent effort, as did The Darkness a few years prior to that. But other than that we really have to go back to the 80's to hear truly magical(!) songs relating to Father Christmas, Mistletoe & wine, the snow etc.

Simon Cowell does annoy me with his 'Hooded Claw' ways, but if nothing Christmassy is ever released, who cares?!!?
